Chickens and Cell Phones

I haven't blogged in a while. It's been busy and the line up to use Marilyn's iPad is usually long! Good Friday was a wonderful experience, did some work, took a stroll through Grand Gauve and ended up at the ocean. After lunch was our last VBS and then a special Good Friday service. I don't think I'll ever forget this service. . . A live chicken caused a bit of a disturbance as it stared to squawk and fly about, while Chris was telling the congregation to turn off their cell phones - just a bit bizarre! The service ended with us watching The Passion movie (in French), very moving!
Yesterday we bagged rice in the am, went for a dip in the ocean, ate some lobster on the beach then finished the evening with a prayer service.
Today we celebrated with our brothers and sisters in Christ, the resurection of our Lord and shared communion together. The highlight for Rod was singing Gaither songs along with the worship team following the service. After lunch we went to a children's church part way up the mountain and shared some songs and the Easter story with them. We are back at Haiti Arise now and are enjoying some down time. Hard to believe we will be leaving this beautiful country so soon!
Thanks to all who have taken the time to follow our blog, and thank you also for the many prayers that have been lifted up on our behalf!

Rod & LeAnne
