Working for a living

Hello again from Chris!

Our first full day was eventful starting with a ride in the back of a truck for about 10 minutes to the "work" site! Some of us hauled rocks by hand and some shoveled rocks and sand to make concrete! I personally met a young man that showed me his house, his pig, and his plumbing and electrical drawings from university in Port ua Prince! He told me he had to quit...."No money for school so stop".

I spent the afternoon with another Haitian fella pulling a lot of nails out of 2x4's and plywood in preparation for the finishing touches on the clinic. Hopefully I'll be able to return one day to actually work and serve in the clinic. Great food, great friends and a lot of laughs! However, easily the most challenging experience I've had thus far. Something that words cannot describe and a journey I hope you all take the time to experience one day! I should quickly mention the church service tonight! Wow these people can sing and worship! Tanya's testimony and the congregation singing left a lot of "sweaty eyes" amongst the team.
